I am am member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, also known as the Mormon church. Young men in the church serve a 2 year mission upon reaching the age of 19, and I have completed the necessary preparations, sent in my application, and have been called by God to serve in the Germany, Frankfurt mission.

What will I do there?

The main purpose of full-time mormon missionaries is to tell people about the Gospel — the message of Jesus Christ — and the joy and blessings it can bring to individuals and families.

(for friends, enemies) Can you stay in touch?

Kindof. The nature of a mission is designed to minimize distraction from the work, so I will have little contact with people outside of my area — no phone calls or direct emails (and definitely no facebook). I will however be writing old-school letters, so you can send me one to the following address:

When will I get back?

I leave for training on August 4th, 2010, and for Germany around the beginning of September. I will be returning to the States around August, 2012.
